Guatemala Huehuetenango
Tucked away in the high mountains of Central America, the cooperatives comprising CODECH produce some of the best coffees in all of Guatemala. Their rich volcanic soil and long growing season yield ultra-dense coffees, grown under the shade of guava, plantain and banana trees.
With crisp green apple notes, a warm smoky milk chocolate aftertaste, and caramel sweetness the whole way through, this is a classic Central American cup—snappy and clean.
CODECH also advocates for social, political, economic, environmental and cultural interests of Huehuetenango coffee farmers. Its cooperatives total almost 500 active members, and represent members of the Popti, Mam, and Q’anjob’al indigenous peoples.
