“Humility is the key that unlocks the gates of heaven” St. Clare of Assisi
The combination of sweet and vanilla notes characterizes this coffee, created in honor of St. Clare of Assisi. These flavors are a reflection of the sweetness and total devotion to Jesus that defined Her Life. St. Clare was a woman who renounced everything to follow the path of poverty, inspired by Saint Francis of Assisi, dedicating herself entirely to Jesus. She founded the Order of the Poor Clares, a community of cloistered nuns who, through their prayers, sacrifices, penance, and reparative acts, contribute greatly to the Church and to souls.
Santa Clara's profound love for Jesus, discovered through the guidance of Saint Francis, led her to a life of complete devotion. She dedicated herself to the contemplative life and demonstrated a deep love for the Eucharist. Today, the Poor Clare nuns live a life of hidden work, contemplating Jesus in the Eucharist. We are grateful to the Poor Clares for their prayers and their adoption of Guadalupe Roastery’s mission into their intercessions.
